GERMANY IS SECOND IN EXPORT/IMPORT IN THE REGION OF IRKUTSK

As a result of two years of collaboration, an agreement
has been signed between the Trade Chambers of the Irkutsk Region
and Leipzig. German partners still feel a shortage
of information and therefore intend to open a
general consulate of the FRG in the Irkutsk Region.
There are also plans to open a direct flight connection
between Irkutsk and Frankfurt am Main.

There are 10 Russian-German Joint Ventures
in the Irkutsk Region, and more than 7000 Germans
reside here.
