About 1918, my grandfather,John/(Jack) O'Brien (Sargent) a solider with the Canadian/British Expeditionary Forces married a women in Irkutsk, the wedding took place in both the Orthedox and Catholic churches,I am going to assume there are Church records of this marriage it is my understanding that my Grandmothers maiden name was Popov, apparently a common last name in that part of Russia , her first name was Elen. I am the grandson of these people and would like to find or make an contact with family members that can be validated, either by the church records or otherwise.
