I am a 44-year old who will be going to Irkutsk in February to study Russian at the university. I have already studied Russian somewhat, having previously learned it in the Army more than twenty years ago.
I found a site at www.sras.org (School for Russian and Asian Studies), and have decided to go with their program. From there, if I'm lucky, maybe I can enroll at Moscow State University for the fall semester. I have previously been to Russia on two other occasions -- in April 1999 to Moscow, and to St. Petersburg in April of this year.
This will be my first trip to Siberia, however. And in the dead of winter ...!
